Our vision is to see marriages refreshed, strengthened and sustained through local churches, in communities where Hope4Marriages Mentoring takes place.
Hope4Marriages advances God’s Mission by helping local churches create and sustain Christ-Centered marriage mentoring.
Hope4Marriages was founded by Greg and Joyce Millikan. Their own experience of divorce, reconciliation, and eventual remarriage to one another gave both of them a heart to help married couples through the Church. The Millikan’s first-hand experience of their own “ideal marriage and family,” followed by a sudden divorce is vulnerably shared in their story entitled Romance & Reality. You can learn more about their story here, Romance & Reality by Greg & Joyce Millikan.
The Hope4Marriages Mentoring program was developed in the early 2000s in a Southern California church. In 2012, the program was initiated at Lake Avenue Church in Pasadena, CA. With the program now established there, Hope4Marriages is offering the program to other churches because we believe the local church is one of the few places where marriages can be built, restored to health, and effectively maintained.

“This mentoring opportunity was the first time we ever received Hope from others after 31 years going to church. Hope4Marriages first and foremost improved my relationship with the LORD. As my relationship with the Lord became closer, my marital relationship also improved.”
— Michelle, Hope4Marriages participant
“Wow! I used to think we should try to eliminate conflict, but now I am thankful to understand it is an avenue for deeper relationships with my husband, as well as my children.”
